Garretts Moving arrived 4 hours after our scheduled start time, with no communication and no response to our calls or texts that entire morning. As a result, my wife and I were forced to move many items ourselves, including larger, heavier items we could not move. We ultimately contacted U-Haul, who reached Garretts’ owner and learned that the morning crew leader had overslept due to illness. Garretts sent a new crew who completed the job, but by then we had already done 4 hours of moving ourselves and had to pay for an additional day of U-Haul rental. When we requested a refund or discount, Garretts said they couldn’t afford it as a small company. They offered a discounted crew for the following day to help with the unload, which we accepted because we needed the help. Both crews were hardworking, and we tipped them well. However, given the significant delay, lack of communication, and additional work and costs we incurred, we believe a substantial refund is warranted.

Melissa was very nice and knowledgeable about moving pianos, and her help was certainly critical since it was the first time her assistant helped her move one. Unfortunately there was a small amount of damage made to the side of the piano while moving down 1 step.
