The movers I had day of were very skilled and efficient. They packed the U Haul box with a lot of expertise. Nothing was damaged during the cross country trip. However, the move itself was delayed two days due to issues picking up the box. This was stressful to deal with and I felt the communication could have been better. On the day the move was originally scheduled, I had to reach out multiple times for updates and learned it would have to be rescheduled multiple hours after the original time quoted. Two days later when the move was scheduled for, the movers came 5 hours after originally scheduled. This was difficult to accommodate with my work schedule and stressful. However, the actual movers were lovely and competent. I think this may have been an exceptional case. However, I hope in the future communication will be more of a priority.

The mover did not call to confirm they were coming. I left multiple messages. Finally he called me back said excuse me I am going to the bathroom. Mover showed up very late after saying he would be there in 20 minutes. It was more like an hour and a half. Him and his partner smelled very strongly of marijuana. They were nice enough, but I ended up moving most of the items myself because they were taking a very long time- texting- talking on their phones, etc. The one mover kept saying he had to leave early to pick his daughter up by 4pm, it was about 5 when they arrived. So clearly he was struggling with understanding the time. Then he left early and asked for a tip.

5 stars because I'm happy with how it all turned out, but there were some communication issues where they were texting me instead of another customer. No big deal but it did result in them arriving later than I expected.
