We were moving the day after Hurricane Milton into a first-floor apartment. When I arrived my U-Haul truck was able to drive through the flooded areas. I got a call from Philip informing me that he will be there; however, they are out of gas and cannot obtain any gas anywhere and will take Uber. As a courtesy, he wanted to let me know so that I would not worry. Philip and Izzy showed up; however, the Sheriffs would not let the Uber driver drive into the apartment complex, therefore they had to wade through the water to get to our apartment. I had scheduled a 2-hour move contract and they were able to help put the king size bed together and finish early. Philip and Izzy exceeded my expectations and went way above and beyond. We took both home in our personal vehicle as we wanted to ensure they were safely home, and not have to personally pay for Uber. 10 minutes after we all left we got an email that the National Guard made it a mandatory evacuation as the Anclote River was rising.
