Affordable Movers

Charles and Charlene are fantastic! They were very communicative prior to and during the move. They helped us move some very heavy antique furniture and were very careful with it. They are also very accommodating as I had to change the time a couple days before the move and added an extra hour the day of. U-haul didn’t have the dollies we requested so thankfully Affordable Movers brought a couple dollies. We highly recommend Affordable Movers and we would love to hire them again in the future. I am dissapointed with the service I received. Initially, I booked the movers from 1 PM to 4 PM and 9 PM the night before they rescheduled to 4 PM - 7 PM (still within reason). They showed up MIDNIGHT with minimal commonuiction (I Initiated) When they eventually arrived, they started, and everything was okay. For context, I am moving units in the same small complex. After they had dropped off an item at the new unit, they would stroll back. I understand moving furniture may take time, I am concerned at the pace at which they came back. Near the end of the prepaid window, I noticed the time between units was getting longer until they ceased to come back & texted saying the window was up and asked to pay their rate to extend. There were still many boxes and heavy furniture. I told them to take the remainder of the furniture and then stop. I still have many boxes and items to move before I am obligated to be out and before hurricane Milton arrives.

They were late getting to job, then proceed to do a terrible job. Didnt know how to tie off boxes or furniture, actually packed the rope that was supposed to be used for tying off. Handled furniture poorly, things were scratched and broken. Did not put fragile items were asked. Packed the truck poorly, didnt even get everything on, but had a ton of wasted space left.
