Big Hunks

Our experience was a disaster. The night before our move, we got a text from the owner of Big Hunks asking if they could start at 9am rather than 10am, which was fine by us. The next day, no one was there at 9am. At 930, I called the owner and it sounded like I woke him up. He said the guys are on their way but were an hour away which meant they hadn’t been dispatched. When they finally arrived, one guy was wearing what looked like pajamas and it became immediately apparent that neither of them knew how to properly load a truck so I had to put everything in its place. They were just temp labor that carried things from the house to the truck. Side note, the guy in the PJs dropped his drivers license and credit card in our front yard which my wife found 2 hrs after they left. I texted and told him I’d leave it behind the mailbox the following morning so he could pick it up anytime after 9am. He decided it would be better to knock on our door at 145 IN THE MORNING instead.Buyer beware

They did a great job moving the heavy stuff we needed. However, there are a few scratches on my floor from some of the items being pushed across the floor instead of lifting or using a dolly to put them in place. Otherwise, they did a great job and were nice guys.

Service was friendly, prompt, and efficient. The two guys loading our truck were kind and with a little direction of how to load the truck they got the job done. Very grateful & would hire again for a load or unload.

Friendly guys. However they damaged my wall, broke two pieces of art and literally threw a mattress over a 2nd story balcony. I wouldn’t recommend them. Not trained properly and really just a subcontracting job board. Never know what you’ll get.

The two movers were good, but they were not professional movers and did not know how to load a truck to distribute weight. They also did not know how to tie-down objects that could move in transit. Consequently, there were several pieces that were slightly damaged. If you use these movers, be sure to direct them as they load your truck.
