The movers were super friendly and kind. I appreciate them both as people. They worked really hard. However, we experienced some significant damage to our items during the move. We rented a 26’ truck, and it was about half full; however, our belongings weren’t placed so that they wouldn’t shift. I bought MANY moving blankets and very few were used - many items of furniture were scratched because the blankets weren’t used. Now, I’m not sure if this was from the loading or unloading moving company - this is an important caveat - our mattresses were removed from the bags. I’ve moved 8 times in the last 8 years (and my husband and I each moved twice annually before that), and we’ve never experienced so much damage, whether we hired labor, a driver, a U-Haul, or did it all ourselves. It’s frustrating to pay for a service and have more damage than we’ve ever had doing it on our own.
