Ryan and his partner showed up late, high + reeking of weed. Loading went OK (I had to prevent them from loading a couple items in ways that would have caused damage). When done, I pointed out I'd prepaid for 3 hours and the job took 55 minutes. Since there was a 2-hour minimum, I paid $95 for the 1 hour of moving labor used, and another $95 for an unused second hour. I was owed a refund on hour #3. Ryan told me to release the full payment, saying I'd get a refund from Uhaul. This is not how it works (once released, payment is gone). I had to open a case with MovingHelp to get my refund. MovingHelp support told me to text Ryan for a refund of the remaining $95 for the third hour. He first tried to hold my refund hostage for a review, then sent me $90, because 'they already took taxes out'. I was going to chalk all this up to unprofessionalism and move on -- until Ryan texted me twice for a review, called me, and then texted me 'u played us'. So here's your honest review.

Movers were not careful with items. They also were much slower than other movers we have used. Lastly, they did not pack the truck carefully, so we ended up needing to rent an additional trailer.

The team did a good job on the move, did not break or damage anything beyond minor scuffs and nicks, and were efficient. However, the communication leading up to the day of the move was poor and although we called, emailed, and texted to confirm arrival time for the move, they arrived late and were hard to get a hold of. During the move, though, everyone was very polite.
