LW Helping Hands

We booked LW Helping Hands for 3 hours for a load + unload (time based on U-Haul's recommendation). I had to reach out to the company a week out from the move because I hadn't heard from them. Be prepared, they do not bring furniture dollies. The movers were very nice, however they spent a lot of time between each time going to and back from the truck (20-25 minutes each time even with a luggage cart and freight elevator, no stairs). We also did not know that they were running out of space in the truck until it was too full to add anything else. We paid for a load + unload, but the movers said they thought it was only a load, though it was clear on the receipt it was load + unload. We also bought furniture pads but the movers didn't use them, and we now have scuffs and some damage to at least 4 pieces of furniture. Overall nice movers, but not the best experience. We had to urgently call a second set of movers to finish the move, which doubled our cost in the end.

These guys showed up on time and worked super hard despite the excessive heat warning in place. It was really tough conditions but our guys had superb work ethic that we really appreciated. Only thing is you may need to provide your own moving supplies like a dolly or shrink wrap to make the move go smoother.
