Communication was great prior to move-day. On the actual day to deliver and unload the uBox, I called the moving company within the timeframe I was given for delivery, only to find out that my order was canceled. The response I was given as to how, why or who canceled my order was non satisfactory, nor was I contacted to ensure the cancellation was submitted by me. I had to pay more to have my delivery rescheduled for the same day with a later timeframe of completion. After 8PM that evening, I was contacted by the moving company informing me there were additional flights of stairs that I had originally quoted on my order. After explaining to the office manager that my misquote was not intentional and it had been over 25 years since I last visited the drop off location, I again had to pay an additional fee for the extra flight of stairs. I also incurred a residential non compliance violation fee of $75 for the after hour delivery.

The driver did not understand how U-haul works. They demanded both payment codes at the same time even though the job was not finished - i.e. the U-box had not been confirmed returned to U-haul yet. I was very uncomfortable providing both numbers, since U-haul tells the customer to wait. But the driver was insistent and I did not fight it. Ultimately, everything was fine. But MKB could do better in training its drivers on what to expect and how to be more professional.

Initially, MKB's communication in confirming my booking was great! However, once it came time for the day of service, I hadn't heard any confirmation on timing. Yes, they got my box from where it was to where it needed to be. However, they arrived an hour and half later than their ETA. I always had to call to get an update. Before the day of service, no one answered. But on the day of, they answered and continued to say they were on their way. Once they finally arrived, they were very nice to wait while I unloaded the box.
