I had a positive experience with the moving helpers overall. They communicated well, kept me updated on their arrival, and handled most of the items with care. However, there were a couple of minor issues, there were a few dings on the wall and door, as well as light scratches on my wooden TV table. Despite these small mishaps, they were efficient and got the job done on time. I would still recommend them for their professionalism and promptness, just advise to be extra cautious when moving things

The movers were rude and unprofessional in my opinion. I had the truck parked in front of the house and then they wanted me to back into the driveway which I was uncomfortable doing as I was by myself driving the uhaul truck. I backed it in anyways and then they still wanted me to go further and I declined. At the end of the move I realized that my fabric mattress cover was absolutely shredded to pieces. I asked them about it and they blamed it on the other company who packed the truck(I watched the other company and the mattress cover was completely fine at that time) I heard these movers dragging it down the brick stairs which I brought up to them and they word for word said ‘we don’t drag things. Thats why we’re called movers.’ Which was uncalled for and rude. If they destroyed the mattress cover I’d rather then just own up to it instead of lying to my face. Also one of the movers was literally wearing flip flops..

Michael and Rico were to arrive between 8 to 9 a.m. and arrived at 9.19 a.m. There were text updates for eta. Both young men were very polite and helpful. Rico was teaching Michael how to do the job, and he was an excellent and patient teacher, but it took extra time to do everything. Senior staff Don arrived when we were 95 per cent done loading the truck. He had the young men unload the truck almost completely in in order to repack it differently. If he wanted to teach his employees, he should have been on site while they were doing the job initially, not cost ME an extra hour of time to teach them. If he asked me before starting the unload and reload, I would have said no - I load approx 100 trucks per year in my business. Yes it could been packed better, but it was sufficient for the purpose - it was a short distance and the two breakables had been packed securely. The tip money has therefore gone toward the unwarranted extra hour. I had cash specifically for a tip with me

I would highly recommend Exodus Affordable Moving for your moving help. Andre and Mike arrived on time, were strong, efficient, polite, and made sure items were stable and well protected in the storage container. The fridge move was brutal but they handled it very well and did good trouble shooting to get it outside and down a few stairs. We’re storing our furniture and appliances during a renovation and you can bet we will be calling them again for when everything gos back into the house! NOTE - they are the labour. We supplied furniture coverings and dollies.
