Best Movers

I recommend AVOIDING Best Movers after my recent experience. My experience started off with them showing up an hour late, one member of the team often found sitting on my furniture not assisting with the move, multiple wood furniture items (dressers, dining room chairs) chipped-damaged, in addition to them taking apart multiple pieces of furniture during the move without speaking with me making it difficult to put them items back together after the move. Most concerning aspect was my initial agreement with MovingHelp was for $272.95, in the middle of the unloading aspect of the move I was pulled aside and forced to pay a surprise bill totaling for a cost of $539.95 which equated to paying for a 6 hour move when the entire move only took 3 hours. I called MovingHelp immediately after this and was told this is not company policy and I should not have been charged past what was initially agreed upon. I will be avoiding MovingHelp and and Best Movers during my next move.

Highly disappointed! Moved 20 minutes away but because it crosses state lines I needed a minimum of 4 hours and all my stuff. They changed my time multiple times and concerning. Then a truck rolls up and a whole family pops out - including a child - and load the truck in 30 MINUTES but didn't get everything. We get to the next location and the head guys decides they're going to wait for delievery to finish instead of using the other doors. fine they'll be quick. IT WAS NOT FINE. They were in such a hurry for another job - mind you have have them for 4 hours I thought - they left hand prints and scuffs all over the walls up and down stairs. They spent just under an hour and a half here and I let them leave because I was so pissed about it all. They clearly book multiple gigs for the same slot and overcharge the way my times kept changing and they ran out. I want the rest of my money back but they won't give it. THEY ARE A SCAM!

While they got everything loaded in about half of the time, I wasn't impressed with the quality of the job. They ran late - I had to reach out to find out where they were. They took the slipcover off of my white couch and proceeded to stuff the cushions in the attic section and the grease rubbed off on them. When I approached them about this, I was met with 'I've been doing this for 20 years!' Later, they agreed that maybe that wasn't the best choice. I had wrapped my antique gateleg cherry dining table in a blanked with duct tape so as to protect it. I walked inside just in time to see the mover rip it all off and pick the whole table up in his two arms by himself and carry it down a flight of stairs. They then proceeded to lay my mountain bike on top of it, leaving a big scratch in the middle of the top of the table. When my dad arrived to help me drive the truck, he spent 3-4 hours rearranging everything to be sure it wasn't rubbing furniter, wouldn't break, etc.

Heather and her team were outstanding in adjusting to schedule changes and the effort to get us unloaded without damage. They worked fast and hard. Highly recommended. We tipped in cash.
